when i press the brake pedal my 3 rd brake light comes on but not the brake lights in the taillights, i replaced the bulbs and still nothing. fuse appeaers to be good and i assume that the brake light switch is good since the 3 rd brake light comes on. also any ideas on how to stop water from leaking in around the tail lights. thanks for any help

Test and make sure power is coming through the wires to the bulbs.

Weatherstripping would keep the water from getting into the light housing

Change the taillight gaskets. Common problem and an easy fix. Visually inspect the sockets and perform a voltage check. If they are corroded, they may need cleaning or replacement

Check the wiring diagrams in the service manual for your year and model. You may have a wiring or ground issue, especially if you've had water in the trunk from the leaky gaskets.
