Default Dash removal 88 si now lights don't work

Doing a race car/weekend car build with a 88 crx si . . . pulled the dash so I could get all of the vent ducting/blower/hvac parts and pull them out.

Hooked everything back up (or so I thought) and none of the lights work ... headlights/tailights/dash lights BUT the turn signals still work.

The only wire currently with 12v is the smallest wire, the small blue with red stripe. Regardless of the dimmer or switched or highbeams on there is no power coming out of any other wire on that plug.

What wires should have 12v in other than that tiny blue/red one?

Also, I cut the harness to what I thought was only going to the blower motor (wires behind the dash from the fuse panel to the cluster then towards the passenger side). I should have marked it but there was a wire acting as a ground that was bolted right in the middle of the car under the dash to the firewall . . . what color wire was that and do I need to ground anything else in this mess besides the black wires?

thanks

Have you checked whether the fuses are blown?

2, 11, and 18 were blown. Car runs and drives before and after dash removal. I also unhooked the battery before removing the dash... I see red/white for both low beams at the bulbs. Red/green drivers side high and red/blue as pass. All that leaves on the switch is white. Is this the 12v in? Not sure yet why the small wire is hot and the two large white wires have ~1.2v

Flip that on the lights. Red/white is high ... Been using a battery to supply 12v to each pin in the harness to the light ****/switch

In case anyone runs across this.

Large 40A fuse in the main fuse panel was also blown. Found another website with an ALLDATA wiring diagram and the two large white wires are the 12v into the light switch.

The only problem I have left is that the cluster lights don't light up . . . the check engine/oil/brake/highbeam/indicator lights work but no cluster illumination. Going to try and figure that out tomorrow.

Anyone know the wires that provide the 12v for those lights?

I see some cut wires. Big no no. Last time I removed my dash and harnesses I noticed 2 grounds. 1 ground that bolts to the underside of steering column, and 1 ground that bolts up with the main relay bracket.
