I'm about to drop in my CTR cams into a 1st gen b16. They're new so i just cleaned them up with acetone and have a couple questions about assembly lube. Im unsure about what parts to lube up. Just the journals and lobes or just coat the whole damn thing in lube and install cam seals and gears and throw them in? Just wanna do this right the first time, thanks.

 

coat the journals and the entire cam. better to use too much than not enough.

Even around the key for the distributor and where the cam seals and gears go onto?

Ah gotcha. I put lube on the whole cam. Lol. I'll be sure to clean off the ends before I install.
