wanna put d15b cam in z6
Like the title says i've got a jdm d15b cam and i've read that when in a z6 it will bump power alil. What i'm wantin to know is can i just take out the z6 cam and drop in the d15b cam and adjust the valves and run it?
Because i've read that some guys swapped the belt and tensioner out for a vx pieces just so the cam would work with the motor.
Any input is appreciated.

come on i know somebody on here knows something about this. I've looked around and i just cant find anything solid. I dont see why i would have to swap the tensioner and the belt because the d15 cam gear is the same as my z6 i already checked.
If it's a JDM D15B camshaft you may need an aftermarket adjustable cam gear because I'm almost certain the centerlines are different between USDM D16Z6 camshaft and the JDM D15B. I used an adjustable cam gear to get the timing set correctly. However, to answer your question, you don't need a different timing belt. There is much more information on the D15B camshaft on Dseries.org.
