mini me HELP! d15b8 / Z6 cam question
ive been searching and trying to pull up some info , but came up blank, i remember hearing that the d15 cam gear was 1/2 tooth off from the d16? any trooth to this or did i dream it up?
planing to do a d15b8/z6 mini me....which timing belt ?

yeah, your timing will be off 1/2 a tooth, the only way to fix this is with an adjustable cam gear. Im pretty sure your gonna need a z6 timing belt, not 100% sure though, i forgot.

will the d15b8 cam gear fit on to the z6 cam? would that correct it? how manny degreez is 1/2 a tooth ?

4.5 degrees, and no it wont help. The cam gears are the same.

so its not the cam gears that are off , its the cam it self, interesting
the d15b8 has 12 deg adv
the z6 has 16 deg adv (if im wrong correct me)
wouldent that put it(b8 block/z6head) at 16.5 deg adv , only .5 deg off?

i was really tired when i put up my last post , and for some reason thinking of ign timing instead of valve timing.....anyone have specs on a z6 cam ? at what degreez should the valves start to open / close at? what does this do to valve overlap?
im not doubting it will run , just like to get physics down before i turn wrenches
