Overheating. Does this sound like waterpump?
Car: 1998 Honda Civic 4 cyl vtec 2.3L
i was driving around after i replaced my iacv and the temp went way up. i had lost some coolant from spilling out of the iacv so at first i just thought i was low on coolant. but then i let it cool down and it still overheated. at one point while i had the engine open waiting for the car to warm up i remember noticing that one half on the radiator hose was hot and the other half was cold. IS THIS UNUSUAL? Is this enough to make you think there is poor coolant circulation and need to do the water pump? Also just before the first overheating, i remember backing the car out of the drive way and thinking i was hearing a strange fluid sound. I pulled into the drive way and verified no leaks. So I went on and then proceeded to overheat.

I was gonna ask about that. I lost a lot of fluid when I ran the car and didn't have the iacv on right. you think air in the system could cause it to overheat?
