Oil Pressure Sensor Mount
Just sharing to you guys how I made one.
I was excited to use my 3/16" Rigid pipe bending tool for the first time so I got myself a little hand-on practice. LOL
materials and tools used are:
Golden Eagle oil sandwich adapter
3/16" brake line
couple of NPT brass fittings and adapters from my local hydraulic materials parts store.
1/8" NPT HSS(high speed steel) tapping tool
PLX Fluid Pressure Sender from the PLX SM-FP kit
i started off by chopping the head of the -6AN/ 3/4" fitting that came with the LSVTEC conversion kit. seen the on the right is my spare fitting.
I won't be needing this outlet to feed oil into the BVTEC head(GSR block) so I used it to link the pressure sender instead.

mounted into the block.

mock-up time so i simply hang the sensor underneath the intake manifold for now. i'll try to fab a mounting plate/bracket for it afterward.

I didn't have an access to SS braided lines and AN fittings, pre made ones at least, so I made used of a hard line instead.
I hope it'll serve its purpose.

I would make a small L-bracket and mount the sensor to the block closer to the fitting. Looks good otherwise.
Yes Sir. I'll be making a custom bracket for it w/c will be bolted underneath the intake mani.
Thanks for your insight.
Thanks Ash! I'm worried about the sensor's plastic terminals hence I thought of mounting it a little bit further where it can have better ventilation.
Thanks for your insight.
