Default how do you exactly wire in vtec?

hey honda tech ive recently decided to swap a 94 gsr motor in my 91 da. i got a question on how to wire in vtec. ive looked at ecu pin outs and for example for pin A8 i would need to wire in the vtec solenoid. but in that space it is empty. do i need ecu connectors to get the wire in the plug? or do i just insert the wire in the open spot? and for the vtec pressure switch the diagram im looking at, it has a wire in the plug (B5) already there. would i just need to splice in the vtec pressure switch wire? thanks for looking. btw sorry for the noobish question

anyone? i understand that i need the 3 wires but how do i EXACTLY wire them into the ecu plug? do i just open the plug tab and put the wires in or do i need to find some ecu pins and solder them to the wire then put them in the plug? i cant find a thread about this. everyone just says wire them in.
