Icon2 Upgrade Brake Lines

To me, brakes and suspension are top on the list to replace before anything else. Has anyone here replace their brake lines on their car? Changing from rubber (OEM) part to Stainless Brake Lines? Would anyone suggest doing it?
I was thinking about going with Goodridge Stainless Brake Lines, what's your opinion and suggestions?

i didnt feel any difference going to stainless over the stock rubber. i did it just cause i was doing everything else.

i have stoptech lines which are nice because they have a clear plastic sheath over the actual stainless braid which helps protect it from debris.

I have Goodridge stainless lines on my GSR. They helped firm up the pedal, made modulation easier, and reduced ABS "thump" (the pulsation from how the ABS system modulates the brake pressure).

I wouldn't recommend doing it for a street car. Factory rubber lines will last nearly forever. Non-rubber/plastic coated stainless lines are wear items, and should be replaced every few years. If any dirt gets under the woven steel, it will be ground into the teflon inner line every time the brakes are applied until a hole forms.

For an HPDE and/or autocross car that will be subjected to frequent inspections and can accommodate downtime (meaning you have alternative transportation to work), they're worth considering.

Why not just...
-Google StopTech or Goodridge brake lines for your car.
-Look at reputable online dealers.
-Purchase
-???
-Profit
... since we don't know where you live, it's kind of hard to justify me telling you to go and see Bubb Rubb down on 98th and MacArthur.

Only grumpy when forced to read the same question 10^6 time.

Summit racing would be the "easy button" for you, or snoop around the marketplace for an H-T vendor.

Don't cheap out. This is a safety item.

And read tunernoob's post two more times before you buy stainless.

Well maybe if you didnt thread jacking, people might be more prone to help. This forum is for tech questions, not where to get the best hook up. If you really want to find a reputable company I would start with the vendors that help sponsor this forum!!!! You might understand why we are a bunch of grumpy men if you had to deal with ignorant people that cant fend for themselves on a daily basis!!!!

FYI I am very pleased with my goodrich SS lines!
