EG Sedan Suspension Idea Help DMV Area
Ok First off I have 94 EG Sedan i live in Maryland just outside of DC. I was looking in to doing some upgrades to my civics steering/suspension and want some advice from some local owners. I want to lower my civic with setup that would be comfortable for my area and be functional if want take corners at high speed. I read some great reviews for the Koni yellow struts and Ground control combo. Would this setup work for someone like me who lives and works near the dc area. And if not what would be a good setup. Also would like do upper and lower control arms and LCAs. Trying make my old bucket my sexy project. Also plan on droping B18C in one day .
Koni/gc is an awesome choice! So the overall plan for the car is just a spirited daily driver?
How low do you want the car?
Replacing the old stuff, bushings, ball joints, tie rods, can be worth while.
Climb under and start looking around. Grab and shake ****, look for excess play.

I want to go low enough that it looks clean with 205/40/16 in the wheel well. But high enough to clear speed bumps and not bottom out having to clear the unforeseen pot holes.
^ That's a good drop.
I'm closer to 3'', sometimes have to pull that "lowerider" **** to get over speed bumps.
Most issues can be avoided just by being cautious. Steep entrances can be hard if I don't have enough room to go at it at an angle.
You'll figure it out pretty quickly though.
for the bottoming out thing, proper spring rates with help solve that.
