Why are you guys hating on him going fast at night on a dead silent highway with no one on it? If you have never went fast in your car EVER you are a god damn liar. Everyone has seen how fast they can top out there car i don't care how mature, old, experienced you are , you have done it before. regardless of how fast it was.

 

It's on an unrestricted area of the autobahn, no speed limit

Actually, you couldn't be MORE wrong.

 

A DIY thread shows you how to do something. There is ton of tech in it BUT NO question. Build thread's never start with a question, they start with everything that has been done to the car then later on in the post there will be a question or 2. i couldn't be anymore RIGHT.

 

I can see someone has never read any of the rules for this section.

And something to think about...A tech manual, for anything, tells you how to do something and gives yo specs. Just like a DIY for the most part. Most of the build threads don't, a few do, really tell you how to do anything.

Also i have read the rules and i do believe a rule is to Providing technical information of general interest, He is showing his top speed on his TECHNICAL car, this provides me with the "TECHNICAL INFORMATION" about how fast his car goes with his build, and this gives me interest in his build. Regardless of how much you think it is so "Juvenile" to go fast on a road with NOBODY on it, on an unrestricted speed limited road. He broke no rules.

EDIT: Pretty sure Marc has also helped more people than most on these forums with his FAQs and write ups.

 

That was a copy of a rule from the forums not something i wrote up. So i'm pretty sure i'm not making the rules, but FOLLOWING THEM. I called your ACTIONS you make idiotic not you yourself so it's not a personal attack. If you read the rules maybe you would have a SLIGHT clue of how this site works.

 

There's a difference between speeding down the highway and speeding down the highway and bragging about it on forums. It's just like the fratboy mentality of bragging about how drunk one got over the weekend. Its pointless.

but to grumblemarc's point, regardless if this type of post is "appropriate" because of its content, it doesn't belong in the tech section.
