Icon2 Door lock actuators

My civic's door locks dont work most of the time with the switch and I think I need to replace the actuators. So I thought instead of replacing them with the OE actuators, I thought of these, what do you guys think? Would they work maybe? Civic is an lx 2000.

They will work with modification it would probably be more cost effective to just buy a original actuator

You're better off using OEM parts.

It's unlikely that both are bad. Is this issue both or a particular side? Something else might be wrong/broken besides the motor.

My ebay actuator died in 6 months.

but yes, they will work. It just take a bit more work to install them. Which really isn't that hard.

It costs more, but DEI is a much better choice.

Instead of just guessing what the problem is and throwing money at it, try systematically troubleshooting. You'll thank yourself.

Well I'm guessing its the actual actuators because the locks/doors are hard as hell to open manually much less opening with the switch, every now and then the switch will open all 4 doors but its more likely they wont. I just wanted to use these to open them with a remote to open the door for my girl before she goes in

This^ sounds like a door lock hardware problem rather than an actuator problem.

Are the doors difficult to lock/unlock from both the inside and outside?

Not really... DEI actuators are $12 shipped Amazon PRIME.

Grab the DEIs and throw a cheap alarm in there while you're at it if you don't have one already.

The back doors are hard to open. The lock **** is hard to pull from the inside and the handle from the outside, as if there was glue in it to stop it from opening
