Back in a Honda. 87 CRX Si with a cool story (check it)
Well its been a while since ive been in a Honda. Last one was a 95 Accord wagon with a H22 swap.
Ive been on the hunt for a 1g CRX forever and finally found my car.
How i found it is pretty interesting. Enjoy.
Screwing around on youtube on Christmas eve i found the video below.
It was bought by Matt Farah from The Smoking Tire/Tuned as a Lemons race car from Andrew Comrie-Picard. He made a episode coming up to Canada to pick it up. Well long story short the title was missing and he couldn't take it back to LA. I saw the video, messaged Andrew (who i knew previously) and bought the car.
So its a 87 Si. Full rebuilt motor. Its a B.C car so the rust really i'snt bad. 1/4 are rusty but the frame/floors and plastics are all really solid. Its going to be a long term restoration project but I'm very excited to have it
No real plans right now. Got it out of the snow and into indoor storage. It will get cleaned up in the spring and ill see exactly what it needs. I have 2 other projects on the go so this one might have to wait a bit but will be worth it.

I've noticed that Honda established itself as a force to be reckoned with when the Civic debuted in 1973. Following the BMC Mini's lead, the Civic combined a transverse front engine, front-wheel drive and small wheels to offer great interior volume for its size. The introduction of the 1975 Civic CVCC, whose stratified charge engine's Compound Vortex Controlled Combustion design allowed the car to meet emissions standards without need for a catalytic converter or unleaded gas, cemented Honda as a first-rate innovator.
