I have a ls swap (b18b1) in my 99 lx

My problem is that whenever I let go of the gas the car will jerk. None of my friends cars do this. It mostly happens in higher gears like 4-5 but sometimes happens in 3rd. Also happens in 1st and 2nd a decent amount of times. What could this be is it my car or is it my driving cuz I just started driving stick.

 

It could be your driving habits since you're learning to drive a stick.

Could also be a bad motor mount.

Sounds like your fuel cut isn't working properly...


When you let off the gas, the TPS tells the ECU that the throttle is close...

The VSS tell the ECU the car is still moving...

Fuel is cut from the engine on decel until the engine is revving less than 1500 rpm when it comes back into play...


Just a thought...

 

Check your ignition timing as well if you haven't.

 

My guess is motor mounts. Whej i pulled the engine from my sol damn theh were done... Bet when i pull the engime from my black sol they are also done thats why i ordered new ones. Id look into that soon

 

How are the torque stops or are they even installed with the swap?
