does anyone make a traction bar that utilises an engine mount for the D-series? it seems rather silly to install a part that does not support the engine the way a stock crossmember does (especially considering the traction bar is usually needed when adding power). i have already ripped the transmission mount plate in half when not using the front mount, i do not want to repeat that.
Usually the traction bars are used with aftermarket mounts that don't use that front mount anyway... But my dad bought an innovative traction bar and it has a spot for the front mount

yeah, i know they don't, sadly, the amount of stress that puts on the remaining three means failures.
that innovative bar has provisions for a D series as well as the B series (as advertised)?

How much HP are you making? There are plenty of people making LOTS of power with only 3 mounts with no problem.
Also, are you using stock mounts or stiffer aftermarket mounts?

I broke the transmission mount plate with my poly mounts and no front mount (stock engine). I am not taking any chances.
Innovative Mounts:

both my hatches are with full race track bars and hasport 62a 3-mount kit. no signs of breakage since '06. both with b16's.
you may need to weld an extra brace into the stock transmission mount plate in order to alleviate your issue.
a customer of mine making 350+ whp, with 50+ dyno runs, has the same setup except that he has got a k-tuned trac bar. same hasport 62a's 3-mount kit with no issues with the mount plate.

Annnddd... this is why I asked if you were using stock mounts...
Just get a set of stronger Aluminum aftermarket mounts with stiffer bushings. You will only need 3.

i see, i thought you were referring to the durameter of the rubber.
i am concerned with vibration and noise using aftermarket mounts, plus the additional cost of them. stock is fine, if using all four mounts and i am trying to find a balance between upgrades and comfort. i am no longer the 20 year old kid that enjoys rattles and groans of a rough car on the street.

Hasports 62a duro mounts are not at all uncomfortable. They are basically just a little above OEM, but they are MUCH stronger. As long as your engine doesnt vibrate more than it should, you will be fine.

LOL, all i want to do is use a SRT4 intercooler, that requires a half size radiator, that requires aftermaket crossmember, that requires aftermarket engine mounts
