anybody have suggestions on what high flow cat to get for a 94 accord with a built f22b1?

i read on some other threads people say some of the high flow cats are restrictive so i want whatever is best for a turboed car as i will be turboed in the spring.
i was thinking about getting the DNA accord high flow cat..any thoughts?

Just going to toss this out there, how much quality do you think is in a $36 catalytic converter when the cheapest Magnaflow is double that price?


If you don't have emissions testing, I'd find a local exhaust shop to just weld you up a test pipe and stainless steel exhaust. I'd still keep them as two separate pieces though.

 

lol thats true man, i just saw another post about cats and a few people liked that one...but i was honestly thinking the same thing. 36$ is hella cheap.

but that is an option as its a 94 and emotions are much easier to get around...but at the same time i kinda want a cat so its not crazy loud/raspy and doesnt smell terrible when people are behind me

 

that dna cat is NOT a catalyst, it is a resonated test pipe.

 

Just get a magnaflow one, What have you done to you f22?

 

x2 That thing in your link is not a catalytic converter, it does not contain any catalyst. It is just a cheaply made resonator with flanges welded to it to match the length of the OEM cat. IMO your best bet would be to buy a appropriately sized universal high flow from SLP, Dynatech or Magnaflow and have a muffler shop weld up the appropriate flanges.

Edit....lol the image of said "high flow cat" even states that it is a Honda Accord Test Pipe......

 

its actually not done yet, but will be in the next week or so. built f22b1 with bisimoto forged pistons rods arp studs, f23 im/plenum/tb, cai and aem pulleys.
gonna turbo in march

but after talking to my mechanic he wants me to delete the cat and get some test pipe he said looks liek a cat welded in..
