b20vtec cuts off randomly
Car has run fine until this afternoon, drove around in the morning then parked for about 5 minutes. Started it up then shuts off after a few seconds idling which has never happend. Wouldn't start back so I checked the fuses under the hood and 10 amp back up fuse was blown. Walked to the store and back, replaced fuse and it started right up. Figured that was the problem and drove into town only to have it shut off on Main st. at a light
. Pushed it to a parking lot and after about 5 minutes got it to start again. Then after idling for a couple minutes it cuts off again. Made it to my uncles house and it sat for a few hours until he got off work. Could not make it cut off again, drove around for 2 hrs, parking, cutting it off and on and ran fine so couldn't diagnose anything. I was planning on making 3hr trip back to school when it started acting up and I need to go tomorrow. Not comfortable making a 3hr trip with it like this. Any ideas? Car was idling everytime it cut off and seemed like it was loosing spark, ran perfect then cut off like turning the key off. But ran perfect tonight, took it into vtec, slammed through the gears and it did fine. Don't want to make it an hour on the highway and have it cut off and leave me stranded.

Sound like a bad fuel pump. Had it happen to me. It would start drive and randomly shut off until the pump finally died. But is there a cel light?
So the first simple test is to look and listen, turn ign. switch on, to the run position, not all the way to start.
The cluster should light up including the CEL.
You should hear the PGM-FI Main relay "click" two times, [the clicks are very close together so may sound like one click, at the same time you should be able to hear the fuel pump priming, [running] for no more then a few sec., there will then be a third click from the PGM-FI Main Relay and the fuel pump will stop priming and the CEL will go out.
Is all of the above happening?
If not, you have found the problem, no fuel.
In most cases, it will be a problem with the PGM-FI Main Relay, [common on older Honda/Acura]...
