Default Constant and Switched Source for gauges, where to tap in?

Hey guys I need to tap into a constant power and a switched power source in my 89Crx si for a boost and air fuel gauge

Both instructions mention using the ignition switch. I will be mounting my gauge beside the cluster cover, is there a best place to run the wiring to for both a constant and a switch source?

Wiring has never been my thing, I dont have power to the car and wont have the battery installed for atleast a week or I would just go probing wires but Id like to get these gauges buttoned up.

Would the stereo wires be a good place to tap into?

There are spare constant and switched power on the fuse panel. Just use those with a female blade terminal.

As above, or cigarette lighter / stereo wiring

I was not aware of any spare "hot" spots in the panel that you could simply attach a female spade to and slip it on the prong

Definetely better than tapping into stereo wires

I've always used stereo wiring for gauges, albeit I've only ever had two gauges at a time and they were in newer cars (rx7 and m35) so maybe the electricals a bit better lol
