Default 99 HONDA ACCORD IDLE ISSUES AFTER TIMING BELT CHANGE

hi guys i just did a timing belt water pump seals the whole nine yards on a honda accord and i just finished it off and started the car up after topping off the fluids and when i started it up it had a really high idle like 5000 rpm so i shut the engine off ASAP what went wrong.

2.3 4 CYL VTEC 5 SPEED

5000 RPM..? do you have the foot on the accelerator or what?! that's not an idle, that's almost redline... Did you by chance bump or kink the throttle cable attached to the accelerator pedal (should be mounted to the throttle body). Have you tried resetting your ECU by detaching the battery cable for a few minutes so it can 're-learn' the idle?
