After Timing Belt - Low Idle Issue...
I will start by saying I did search my problem, but nothing I read seemed to describe it.
I changed my timing belt yesterday. All the marks lined up and the belt seemed properly tensioned.
Went to start it and it fired right away.
The idle did not rise to more than 2-3 hundred RPM and seemed rough.
About 5 minutes later the idle sped up to 1000, but fell back down again.
I unplugged the battery during the belt change, so I didn't touch the throttle until it warmed up so the fuel maps could reset.
After it was warm, I moved the throttle at the TB and NOTHING.
It did not rev, but continued to run low/rough.
Could this be a vacuum related issue? There is a hissing/buzzing type of noise coming from the fuel rail area. Could it be lack of fuel pressure? It was a straight Timing belt/water pump change and nothing else was (knowingly) altered. I will check the timing by light today, but does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?? Would be appreciated.
