Default 1994 Accord tries to start but won't

My 1994 Accord ( it has 238,000 miles) tries to start but it won't engage. It has been happening just the past three or four days. It actually died on me the other day when I was several miles from home, but I was able to get it to start and get home okay, but then yesterday it started for about 4-5 minutes and then it died and I haven't been able to get it to start since then. I do want to add that the lights on the dash, actually where it indicates what gear the car is in- began to flicker before the engine died, but it was while the engine was faltering BEFORE it actually finally died. (I didn't have the headlights on at the time) And then it wouldn't start at all although it was trying to like I mentioned initially. Also last year I did have a used starter installed by a friend who's a mechanic, he got it from a salvage yard and charged me $100. It had been running okay since although it does have very high mileage.

And one more thing- it has gotten pretty cold here in the past three days or so, I live near the Columbia River Gorge here in Oregon, and at my apartment complex I don't have a garage, just a covered area like a carport, no shelter from the wind, which have been as high as 50mph, with highs in the mid thirties and lows in the twenties at night. Just wondering if the cold might be contributing to whatever is going on here since this only began at the onset of the cold weather? Thanks so much for reading this and any insight would be GREATLY appreciated!!

At that kind of mileage your fuel pump probably died. Fuel pump replacement not your average parking lot project.
