odd under the dash plug question
i have a 1991 accord LX. im trying to diagnose a problem with my coolant fan not ever shutting off. from things i learned from this post (and parts ive already replaced, such as the "thermoswitch" close to the top radiator hose and the relay) it seems i have either a bad "cooling fan timer unit" (which i cant find anywhere) or a bad ignition switch.
i figured id unplug the ignition and see what happens. i unplugged the brown plug under the dash (which should be the one that leads up to the key switch). the "dinger" didnt make any noise, but thats it. the car started right up as normal. the plug had a black wire with yellow stripe (usually the starter wire on chevys) and a couple black wires, a blue wire, etc. no red wires though.
so here's my question: what does that plug go to, and what plug is the one i need to unplug to disable the key switch to see if thats where my problem lies? pictures are great if possible. this is my first foreign car.
or, if you can help me find the "cooling fan timer unit" that would be great too. cant find it on the car. cant find it on O'Reily's website either lol. i'm close to just putting a battery switch in it and just cut the power to the whole car when i shut it off pretty soon

If your ignition switch is bad, everything associated with the switch at that position would be bad. I don't believe I've ever heard of that being associated with the fans staying on. If the power windows, lights, etc are all non functional with the key in the switch in the 'Off' position, then turn on in the 'Acc' position, then stays working in the 'On' position I'd immediately ignore that as a possibility. I don't think I've ever heard of or seen the 'Off' position be faulty?
Most likely it's the fan/temp switch or the fan timer.
Fan/Temp switch is on the upper radiator hose where it meets the engine head next to the manifold.
The timer is driver's side interior near the steering column.

already replaced the temp sensor. been looking for the timer box everywere, but cant seem to find it. any idea as to the color of its plug? anything would help. have also heard it could be on the passenger side under or behind (?) the glove box or something

Thanks to the lovely search function:
