I have a 2002 Honda Accord LX with a factory-installed 6-CD changer in the dash. Earlier today, I loaded a CD into Disc Space #5. The player couldn't load the CD and it made a loud grinding sound and then started clicking as if it was having difficulty loading the disc. I was unable to eject or play other CDs. I tried pressing the eject button several times.

Has anyone else been able to fix this problem without taking it to the dealer? Any suggestions would be most helpful. Thanks in advance

 

Sorry to say FSM only shows removal and installation of entire unit.

I removed radio fuse and put it back. Now My CD player is not working at all. The CD button does not turn the CD player on.

 

Well you probably need to enter the security code on the radio if you killed power to it from the fuse. Or you possibly blew the other associated fuses.

My CD player does not work at all. CD button won’t turn CD player on, or nothing at all. Tried to re plug the CD player back in and cleaning out the CD player! did nothing.

 

Check fuses, verify connections are good, verify(if applicable) the security code was input correctly.
