hi i have v reg ej9 civic with a b16a1 conversion was all running fine but was smoking on vtec and burning oil so i replaced rings and valve stem seals and put all the engine tougher as it was got fuel timing is right but got weak spark so today bout new coil and module and replaced them now have a good spark but it just still wont start turns over and sounds like its just about to start but just wont run and ive checked all the leads and there right from what ive read on other posts so should be okay any advise or help would be a great help

 

Will it start if you spray starting fluid into the intake manifold? If not, then you dont have spark, or your timing is WAY off.

 

ill give it a try tomorrow

 

check mechanical timing, ignition timing, check all you grounds, the engine harness and that everything is hooked up right. see if you have any codes. also make sure your injectors arent clogged or messed up.

 

rotate the distributor 180 degrees

 

Do a compression check.
