Default HID Lighting Question

I have a 2008 Civic Si and starting to mod it. One of my add-ons will be HID Lighting for light output. My friend order 2 kits for his G35 and BMW from www.AllXenon.com and loves them. Wanted to see if anyone has ordered from this company for their Civic? Thanks and looking for any input.

Default Re: HID Lighting Question

Does the 08 Si have halogen or halogen projector headlight assemblies?

If they are halogen projector you can get by with a plug-and-play HID kit and it should look relatively decent. I was never a fan of using the stock halogen projector but a friends Integra actually looks good with a PNP kit.

If they are regular halogen housings then I'd highly recommend doing a retrofit. HID PNP kits don't like even remotely decent in a halogen housing.

The Morimoto kit is by far the easiest to install.

The only hard part is opening the housing. The projector will screw into the back of the reflector housing. No cutting is required.

The price difference between the PNP and retrofit kit is obviously a lot but a retrofit will look so much better and will actually provide usable light output.

But again, if your stock headlight assemblies are the halogen projector type you can "get by" with a PNP kit.
