Choice between '06 RSX Type-S or '07 Civic SI
Need help deciding between:
2006 RSX Type-S with 70k miles on it
and
2007 Civic SI with 50k miles on it
Both are 6-spd manual, clean and well maintained. With just this info, which is the better buy?

What do you prefer ?
it terms of performance they are very close, sit in both of them and see what interior you like the most.

I can't sit in SI cause its a state away. They need to ship it down. I took a ride in a '06 SI auto and it was alright. A bit space age for me. RSX leather is **** and I like the hatch. Just wondering if 20k miles really makes much of a difference.
there is no such thing as an auto SI
with that out of the way, what are you planning on doing with the car? certain mods are cheaper for each vehicle. they both have their pros and cons. try to drive each one if you can and see what you like and dont like.
personally, i love my rsx but get a little jelly with what some of the 8th civic guys do with theres.

I'd pick the Civic Si because you'll have a newer, lower mileage car. Also, you'll get an LSD transmission and a better intake manifold in the SI right out of the gate. Just my two cents. Good luck. Both are great cars and I'd be jealous of either.

Si has
-LSD as mentioned before
-Far better suspension geometry (especially when it comes to modding the front shocks, tie rods ends are on the knuckle where they belong)
RSX has
-Better looks outside and inside (in my opinion and in general, that one looks retarded)
-It's a hatchback so there is more versatility
Basically
Looks=RSX S
Performance=Si
You have to figure out which one is more important to you.

Type s also has lsd. Under the shell they're almost the same. I like the si but wouldn't
mind the rsx either. The orange is not my favorite color though.

And this is exactly why you shouldn't have 'full rights'

So much misinformation in this thread, it hurts.
Anyways, I have owned both (06 RSX-S and currently own 07 Si Sedan). I pick the Si over the RSX-S just because it fits me and my personality better. If these are the only two cars you are choosing from I would just get the RSX-S because I don't like the color of that Si and IMO the sedans look 10x better than the coupes. Just get rid of those fugly wheels on the RSX.

My brother had an 04 Type-S and I have an 08 Si. I'm not sure how much different the 04 to 06 RSX is but I prefer the Si a lot more. RSX didn't have steering wheel controls besides cruise and if the '06 doesn't as well, i don't like that. No arm rest. The dash and controls i also wasn't a big fan of. I'm not sure if this goes for the 06 as well. I don't see what would have changed interior wise though. The rear seating in the RSX isn't all that comfortable as well if sitting people back there.
The seats are far better but that's mainly because I don't like leather in the summer or winter. The overall stance of the Civic I feel looks better than the RSX. But don't get me wrong, i break my neck on multiple occassions when i see nice RSXs.
It all comes down to preference but a newer car with less mileage seems like the better route. Is the price somewhat equal?
