Just curious need a few opinions,if you had a dark green 97 accord with tan interior would you swap interior to grey or leave it tan? Im not much of tan interior kind of guy. I swapped the tan interior to grey/black in my 6th gen almost finished just had to get the carpet put in and seats belts then it got totaled. Im kinda getting bored with the peanut butter interior in my 5th gen just want to get motivated before i start getting parts anybody got a green accord with grey interior wish they made black for the 4 door i just cant figure why Honda didnt make a black interior option i swear when i lived in Hawaii i test drove a 5th gen accord 2 door red with black interior almost was my first car but never got it ended up getting a 96 4 door gsr lol and since i have yet to see another 5th gen coupe with the black interior....
But anyway yes or no for grey interior swap.....its not to much trouble ive swapped dashes and carpet in a few cars already so the hard part is easy to me lol
ps. sorry i didnt use punctuation and i did run ons i was tired lol

Taking into account your needs, I'd recommend you to have Grey interior with a black carpet.
Black carpeting adds a nice touch to any color interior, IMHO and its easy to maintain as well.

Ive never seen black carpet in the 4 door 5th gens. and i know coupe probably wont fit i tried it with a 6th gen coupe dark grey carpet and tried to fit it in a sedan and it doesnt line up in the back so i assume its the same for 5th gens.....and ive had aftermarket carpet in a civic i didnt like it i ended up going back to stock carpet.
But yea i want to find a coupe black dash and grey sedan interior and swap it out my 94 g20t has all black interior i love it,but since i cant have black in the 5th gen then grey will do
Do they factory grey/blue or green whatever the hell the color it is combo. That's what I have in my 97 ex, dark green also, and it's an awesome combo and a nice place to be.
You could always just order an aftermarket carpet.
I had to replace my carpet in my 95 accord... Ordered from jc whitney for i think $106???
anyways, got it in and it was pre-formed, just had to cut out the holes for seat mounting, etc...
They offer more colors than OEM.

This is entirely a personal opinion question. I'm not sure how other people giving you their opinion is going to help?
Just as a side note, there are quite a few color combinations available from the factory. You also have the option to do an Acura CL interior swap if you have a Coupe.

I ordered aftermarket carpet for a hatch civic i had and it was pre formed also but it keot getting lint stuck to it hardcore i hated it so i went with 01 integra dark charcoal carpet for that project i like oem quality and fitment better

I was just thinking about this same thing just the other day. I have brown/Tan/Taupe interior, i think it would look a lot better all black with black leather seats and black carpeting. Helluva project, but totally not worth it.

I really dont know why Honda didnt make a black or charcoal option at least if they didnt want black.....There is just something about grey or black that just feels better when your driving
Thats why i drive my 1994 Infiniti g20 Touring edition every single day almost and my 97 accord just sits at home,i drive it like once every 2 weeks then the bland tan interior starts to really get to me lol......

Just so much more pleasing to the eye ......I cant wait to get my grey interior in out with the peanut butter inside
Good luck on the swap. I had a 96 accord sedan with the taupe interior and swapped to black leather. Unfortunately i no longer have the car anymore. I still do have the rear seat though, been trying to sell it, currently listed on ebay.
i do agree with you choosing the darker color.

I personally like the tan better- it doesn't get stained as easily as (and ages better than) gray. I bought a new '07 Corolla dark blue w/ tan interior which was totally by a large oak tree falling on it at 1 month old. I went back and found the same car but with gray interior. Six years later and it's definitely looking somewhat stained, even after a cleaning. On the other hand, my wife spills every kind of beverage known to man in her Sienna's tan interior and you can hardly tell (except for the smell). Also, the tan interior of the '01 Accord we got from my sister still looks new (though, I don't think she spilled stuff in there like my wife does in our van LOL)
