Do I need bigger injectors?
Hi folks, this is my first thread here and I will like to start with a doubt about my setting;
its a 2000 civic Si with b16a2
mods:
-Hytech rep header
-2.5" catback
-Custom CAI
-sk2 tuner stage 2 cams
-Supertech valve train
-AEM cam gears
And I just bought a hondata s300 to tune it, my doubt is: Do I really need bigger injectors? Im from Mexico and Im planning to tune it on El paso Tx, but I really need to know if I need bigger injectors than the original ones for a good NA tune. Some people says YES and other says NO, so Im hearing your opinions! Thanks a lot!

since your doing cams, i would also do a walbro 255 fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator and at least 310 injectors! those cams are gonna open up your head more allowing more air and ecu is gonna try to throw more fuel in the mix and stock fuel pump is gonna push its limit til it burns out (thats when the 255 walbro fuel pump comes in) and the regulator will be there to send the correct amount of pressure to the injectors which will pulsate more fuel in the motor since cams are allowing more air to be sucked in threw the head...
or if you are on a budget with injectors, use h22 injectors.
i believe h22 injectors are a little bit bigger and a lot cheaper than 310 aftermarket injectors if im not mistaking, but its your build and your money.

While I agree having enough injector & fuel pump is always a good idea.
I also don't think you should waste time or money if you don't have to.
A stock b16 with a test pipe (cat delete) makes around 150-160 whp depending on what dyno you use.
Adding skunk2 tuner 2 cams & a header to a b16 engine doesn't make more then 30 whp.
The stock injectors can handle 185 whp which is more then a stock b16 with a header & cams will make.
Only issue I have seen is problems with high mileage stock fuel pumps causing fuel supply issues.

well... My engine has just 55000 miles, a really low mileage so I belive the oem pump still working great...
For now the car will stay Aspirated and it will be tuned aspirated. I know someday i´ll have to buy a bigger pump and a FPR and obviously bigger injectors because it will be turbo someday (with other cams)....
But thats just my question, I dont want to make the travel to El Paso, and that the tuners says to me "oh you sould´t buy all this for a NA tune!"
Thanks a lot guys!

Cheap upgrade is to draw thicker wires to the pump and control it with a relay. As you still need to do endligt my mind when bytter pump but can say that my pump did much more as it was with this fixed.
