FS: 1995 Del Sol VTEC DOHC B16 [PA 19067]
- Samba Green Exterior
- 151,xxx miles
- Stock B16 (Never even had an intake on it)
Car is in great condition for its age. Don’t pass this one over because of its mileage. Runs great! No Accidents. Title in Hand.
This is an actual VTEC trim level with the B16 engine. I have owned several Del Sol’s in the past and I know how much better this one is. I am only selling this to buy my dream car.
Transmission rebuild and timing belt / water pump replaced @ 143K miles, Brakes replaced at 148k miles (Cross-drilled and slotted rotors, ceramic pads, calipers, and master cylinder), Clutch replaced around 130K miles. Stock wheels with near new tires included with sale.
I always wanted a Samba Green Del Sol VTEC, But Honda never made one. Samba Green was only available on 93 and 94 Del Sol’s with the lower trim levels. So I had to make one. I bought the best year VTEC (OBD-I, built in fog lights, ABS, redesigned seals) and had it painted Samba Green. Pictures taken on 12/23/1012.

As said in the original post, I wanted a Samba Green VTEC. The VTEC was only made in Milano Red, Granada Black, Cypress Green (1996 & 1997), and Isle Green Pearl (1994 & 1995).
I bought my first del sol when I was 15 year old. Many years later, when I had the money to buy any del sol I wanted, I got exactly what I wanted. I spent 3 months to find the perfect del sol. A completely stock 1995 VTEC in Isle Green Pearl. This way, when I painted it Samba Green the title would not have to be changed as the title and registration just says "Green".
That is the only reason. Every panel, both bumpers, and the hood are the ones that came with the car when it left the factory.
The door jams and trunk jam is samba green. The engine bay is still Isle Green Pearl. My original plans were to rebuild the motor and trans and have the bay sprayed then, but the car has been very good to me. It has great compression numbers and has not given me a reason to touch the motor.
If it isn't broken, dont fix it. If it broke, I went crazy. The car had a 3rd gear grind when I first bought it. The first thing I did was pull the trans and go over the whole thing with a fine tooth comb. I ended up replacing 1-3 gear synchros and synchro sleeves, and all of the bearings. Everything else spec'ed out like it was brand new. The synchros were the carbon-moly synchros from Synchrotech. The bearings were all oem from the dealership.
The only times the car had an issue I always went above and beyond. When it went in to be inspected, the tech said I should get a new rear caliper.... I replaced d*mn near the entire brake system. I am 30 years old, not a kid. I dont mess around.
The only reason I am selling is that my step-kids are grown and the wife is telling me to buy my dream car.
I meant to take some pics of the engine bay and interior today, but it being Christmas I didn't get the chance.
