Default Radiator fan questions

Im not sure if this has been covered before but i did some research on pull vs push style radiator fans and im wanting some more info on this. First of all does running 2 12" slim fans as pushers make any sense? Reason i ask is because i have 2 slim fans laying around. I'm considering this because of how close the fan is to the header.

Heres a picture so you guys can see what im talking about.

Yes, push fans work just as well a pull fans, it's all about moving air through the rad, it makes no diff. how you do it. 94

Reason i ask is because i did some reading and on some websites said that pushers were not as effective unless they had a shield.

The shroud makes all the difference when using slim fans.

personaly i think that pullers are better but really it dont make to much of a differents its all on your preference and if your worried about the space between header and fan i would go to a slimer fan let me know what you do

A shroud is effective when fans are pulling air through the rad, a shroud becomes blockage when placed on the front of a rad.

We do pusher fans all the time on built hot rods, big V8 engines in small cars do not leave any room between engines and rads, in most cases the mechanical fan needs to be removed, so a pusher fan is used, I am pretty sure that if a single 12" electric pusher fan can keep a 500HP SC V8 engine cool enough it's not going to be a problem on our 4bangers.

We have done more then a few pusher fan systems, single high velocity, fans for both rad and condensers with out any issues... http://www.airwolfeautoair.com/index.html

We are also Dave Ward Auto Electric, custom hot rod and racing car wiring. 94
