I don't like my 6 1/2 inch speakers any alternatives
Hey guys I just put in my system an I don't like my 6 1/2 inch speakers. I currently have Cerwin Vega HED-162 all around. The front are powered by my Apline 7894 and the rears are powered by a Punch 100a2. Is this enough power for them?
What are other speakers I can get that will be clearer when I crank it up?

Yeah but that amp should handle 2 ohms just fine. I have some OOOOOOLD CV components in my car. What's the specs on yours? Comp or axial, etc?

what do you expect your speakers to do? push out a lot of bass? it would probably help if you coupled them with a subwoofer. I would take that 100.2 off the rear mids and buy a sub and use the 100 to power that. that should sound better to you.
the biggest complaint about cerwin vega speakers is the fact that they distort the signal by over amplifying treble and under amplifying mids.
The rest of my system is as follows: Alpine 7894 head unit and a Kicker Solobaric S10l& powered by a old style Punch 500.
I will try switching the amp to the front speakers and see. If not I may just go ahead and pick up some MB Quart components. What do you guys think about that?

the best idea would be to get the MB quarts for up front and run the amp to them....the front speakers are really the most important.
