i am planning to get pulleys because i have heard good things about them on automatics...how much do they really help me? do you notice a difference throughout rpm's or just in vtec?

I wouldn't, they give you maybe about 2% extra HP, but you can run your battery flat, unless you're driving at a high enough RPM.

i've had my pulleys for over a year now and i haven't had problems with it. the car seems to rev a quicker and low end feels smoother. only downside is ur windows will roll up slower.

yeah
pulleys are great but they do lower the electrical power for windows and lights.
Hope you dont got a system.

The pullies do help out with the throttle response and i did feel a difference from before and after. The windows going down slower is just something you have to deal with if you really want the HP. I haven't really noticed any difference in the lights.

I would do some research into the effects of the crank pulley specifically. I never had one but I've read in a few places that it has some negative effects on the engine.

When I had my pullies on, they were great. They didn't do much to my electrical system at all. My lights didn't flicker or dim and the same with my radio. My system sounded fine. Its probably cause I had a CAP hooked up to keep some power off the battery

The pullies do almost nothing, if nothing else they
will make the engine bay look nice. I wouldn't
use the alternator pully though. It can burn it out.

If they do nothing, then whats wrong with putting the alternador pully on?

but the extra accessories the engine needs to run can cause your RPM's to drop WAY to quick with a light pullie to keep in the power range. If you're going to lighten the flywheel, lighten the load on the engine too, or your engine will just drop RPMs too fast

The pullies dont' drop it by that much. Pretty much at idle and a slight RPM above idle you'll notice the lights dim when you roll up your window and such (just as your car would now if you went out at night without the car started and rolled them up). At higher RPM'S you won't see any noticible difference unless you're running a decent size audio system

Sounds like he has a charging problem, and has nothing to do with the pulley. I have them, my windows, alarm, and sunroof all work just like they did before I had them. The only thing is when I stop, the lights dim alittle.
No big deal.

But, I love it when people but a system in their car and then add performance parts and have all them magnets/box/amps weighing them down. Kinda defeats the purpose, ay.
