My valves are warped on my current y7 head(took it off to confirm) i can't find a y7 head anywhere !. so im wondering if a vtec head(z6/y8/15b) would work WITHOUT hooking up the vtec solinoid ? this car is my dd and winter is coming so im under the gun to get it fixed.

why not just replace the valves? you can also use a y8 head and do a mini me, or swap the y7 head internals into the y8 since they are the same casting.

 

i don't know how to replace valves or move internals from head to head so would have to pay someone to.

 

Or get a valve spring compressor and a factory service manual and do it yourself. It's really not that hard. In fact, as far as actual motor work goes, it's probably the easiest thing to do.
