is it possible that my 87 has no manuel choke, my brother car dose not have one, it dose have a puller thing but I don't know what it dose..I really don'T know about 3rd gens to much..help please I have 2 hour drive home tonight and the car idels rough on start up only when it rains.

 

Well, if it has a 'puller thing' that would be the choke. Pull it out, start the car, once the engine is warm, push it in. If you're car doesn't have one, it used to, if it's a DX. Is there a hole where it should be? Is it a CRX or Civic?

 

no the 85 and later had automatic chokes. only the 84s had manual chokes. it was located left of the steering column imediatly next to the guage cluster dimmer ****.
