this happened once before when i installed a new clutch. somehting fuct up w/ the spring that attaches to the throwout berring. it seems like part or all of it disconnected from the berring. driving to the grocery store when the clutch pedal loses all pressure and sinks to the floor. fuckign sucks. car is driveable now but the only holding poiwer it has it from gravity holding the level, on the trans, down. . gotta pull the trans next weekend and see wtf happened.

SOO damn frusterated w/ my car now. threw 700$ at it 2 weeks ago after it fuct up (all ignition related). this month has sucked. im seriousely contemplating parting out my car

 

My throwout bearing arm broke, breaking the spring at the same time. Throwout bearing $70, Spring $5.

 

Im sorry i know how that kinda stuff goes you fix one thing right after another but keep in mind that this is an expensive hobby.

i thought the same thing happened to my car after installing a clutch....exact same thing happened, and i was so pissed, i didn't want to take the trans off again, i was going to kill someone! but then i realized that the clutch cable just slipped....i re-adjusted it and it worked perfect! then i felt like kissing someone! happy days!

so...try adjusting the cable (by the batt.) before pulling the trans, you never know.

 

DAMN 70 bucks for a throw out bearing??????? only 35 @ kragen !

 

yeah i screwed around with the cable all yesterday didnt do anything. the level itself doesnt move properly, or with tension etc. so spring did come off.

the spring coming off the berring has nothing to do with anything being an expensive hobby. it shouldnt have happened in the first place.
