2001 EX Cluster lights up but the miles/trip odometer don't?
The digital miles don't light up on my 2001 5-speed EX sedan, also the A/C and rear defroster lights don't light up any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

The light in the cluster, or the light in the switch? Either way, there is a bulb for both although the cruise control switch has two different lights in it. An amber one, and a green one. Amber is for when the lights are on, green is for when it is activated.
I bought the car like this, maybe they are disconnected i don't know.
But i do know the cluster has been taken out because there is one screw missing on the cluster bezel.
Is there an actuel plug that goes on the miles/trip od?

Remove the lower dash cover and pop the switch out. The bulbs screw into the side of the switch. Replace.. whichever one isn't working.
Does the switch light up when you turn on the lights? If it does, then it's connected. If the green light on the switch doesn't come on after you've pushed the switch in, then the bulb needs to be replaced. Only a dealership has them, if I remember correctly. The amber bulb burnt out on my CC switch and no local parts stores had a compatible bulb.
Sounds kinda sketchy. The gauge cluster may have been replaced with a different one, in which case your mileage is incorrect as it is stored in the cluster itself and not in the ECU.
I'm not sure what you're asking here, but there are two plugs connected to the back of the gauge cluster, neither of which are specifically for the odometer/trip meter.

Ok cool i check into all that. And you're last response answered what i needed to know.
I may have just asked the question incorrectly.

I've had that bulb out for a longgg time now. Never thought I could replace the bulb. I might try. Interesting you got a recall notice. I have a question, if you got a notice but never take it in for whatever reason can you still take it at anytime?
