My car idles crappy with my 450's and hack. Please help
Ok, I am getting really sick of messing with my injectors. I put in some blue top DSM 450's and set my S-AFC at -37%. My car still idles at 750rpms, but it is really rough. It shakes the whole car. When I step on the gas, it hesitates and then winds up. Then on the way back down to idle, it runs rough again. No CEL. I've tried a resistor box and radio shack 10 ohm 10 watt resistors (on now). Neither are doing the trick. My injectors are rebuilt. Any suggestions at all? This is making me really frustrated. It's the last step to my turbo install. Thanks a lot.
Easiest thing: Trim out alot more fuel and see if it idles. And check all settings.
Second easiest: Check all the wiring as something is probably not right.
Third: Get your injectors cleaned. (sorry, didn't see you had them rebuilt...maybe they fucked up?)
What kind of fuel pressure are you running? Sorry if it sounds dense, but if the problem is with the fuel, that is about all if could be, unless your pump is screwed.

My car runs great whenever I put the stock injectors back in. So, I don't think it's my fuel pump. My resistors are inline with the black/yellow wires (grounds) going to the injectors. My car idles best trimmed at -27%. Less, my AF gauge stays in rich. More, my car shakes and struggles. Any ideas? Thanks

While you're sitting there idling...set the number up or down..I set mine to -25% and the idle is very stable....but the problem with this is when you go to start up...it's hard to start...too much fuel...the best trim for start up is -35%...u can switch back to -25% once you start up the car. That's what I had to do. Hope that helps.

I suppose I'll try reseting my ecu and afc.
Does this sound like a hardware or software problem? Maybe I could rule some things out if I knew. Thanks

I was told to put my fuel at -35% across the board. But at 0% throttle, I put it at -27% and it ran a lot better. But it still hesitates right when I punch it, then runs rough on the way back down. I'm puzzled.
yep i have the same prob as well, have to have it set at -25% to idle smooth but then like somone mentioned when i start from cold there is way too much fuel and its hard to start and misses, this cant be good as it fouls the plugs and u end up with bore wash, there must be a way round this other than changeing the bloody AFC settings everytime u start from cold???
I just don't know how common it is for injectors to be "bad". I'm not sure if mine are defective or maybe even my safc. Does anybody have some input? Thanks
