Default power steering fluid color

i was what color power stering fluid should be igot some for honda house brand [orieilly] that is clear all the ones i looked at are brownish color

What are you saying???? Honda fluid is clear but just cus the off brand is clear doesn't mean it's Honda approved. Not using Honda fluid in your system can cause stering problems, especially in cold climates. Honda fluid has a unique viscocity that's pretty thin not to mention the additives designed for the seals in the system

iam saying i looked at three systems and the fluid was brownish .the bottle says it is formulated for honda i guess i wont work today so i can find a dealer to sell me soome genuine honda ps tks for letting me know it is supposed to be clear though

Yea new fluid is clear and just like oil it gets darker with use

the resevoir is leaking or i hope it mis one of the lines leaking. is there afilter in the resevoir . i got one at ther junkm yard but cant seem to get all the water out of it

The PS reservoir has a mesh screen/"filter" at the bottom of it at the return line area.

tks i guess their is no way to get the sludge out of it. it doesnt look like the top comes off

Have you tried doing a solvent like Seafoam through it?

no i am thinking no matter what you do something will still be in therre to get in the ps system . way better off getting a new one if it turns out that is what is actually leaking
