1995 Acura Integra GS-R Timing Issues
Hey guys, I'm new here and hopefully I can get some help. I have a 1995 gsr with 130,000 km and it's stumbling upon acceleration like crazy. I have replaced spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, new dizzy, checked timing, fuel pressure, compression and leak down, injectors and almost everything else I can think of and there is no CEL, But there is one thing that stumps me like crazy. The new dizzy (td44u), number one cylinder is at the top right when looking from the passenger side. I have searched almost everywhere and they all say number one should be at the bottom left. It almost seems like if I took off the dizzy and rotated the fork on the back 180 degrees it would work but the dizzy only goes in one way. I can't upload pics right now but this it what it says it should look like looking from the passenger side:
3-4
1-2
And this is what mine looks like:
2-1
4-3
Im stumped so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

I have tried the way that it is supposed to be and it just cranks and doesn't fire. It runs the way that I have it now but it stumbles bad. Like I said it seems like the dizzy is off 180 degrees but if that was the case I don't think there's no way it would run.
Firing order...

If engine will not start this way, something else is wrong.
Wire like above, place #1 cylinder at TDC, pull distributor cap and confirm rotor is pointing to #1 cylinder.
Make sure the distributor assembly is not installed 180 degrees out. 94

That's what I mean. When I put #1 at tdc the dizzy is pointing at #4 like it is installed 180 degrees out and I have tried taking it out and turning it but it only goes in one way.
The distributor only goes in one way. When it's 180 out people are forcing it to go in. If you have to force anything in then it's not going in right.
Just weird some of the thing you see on the internet.
you can not flip the rotor 180°
As you said the distributor will not go in 180° out without force .
I would pull the crank/vibration dampner and belt cover and check the crank gear alignment with the marks and start fresh .

Make sure the cams and gears aren't 180 degrees out. The #1 piston could be at TDC between the exhaust and intake strokes, but the camshafts and gears will be 180 degrees out (UP arrows pointing down on the gears). If this is what happened then the distributor shaft and rotor would be pointing to the #4 terminal instead of #1 under the cap.
