I have a 99 Civic LX with a D16Y7.

I recently got my new o2 sensor(Denso) on amazon to get rid of the check engine light. I also have a cracked manifold if that helps anything.


Then a week later(now) it came up while I was going to the store, raining.

It was weird to me because I just replaced it and no check engine light came up until today.

I went home, popped the hood and pulled the backup fuse.

Popped the backup fuse back in and turned on the car to Accessories(Didn't plan on going anywhere), check engine light went away.

I was weirded out because i don't want this to happen if it does. I love my presets.

 

Fix ALL your deficiencies before you start reporting issues. That you KNOW you have a broken/defective part and haven't fixed it surprises me.
That you didn't bother to even pull a code before resetting the ECU makes no sense.
Question: What was the code that tripped the CEL? Answer: We'll never know because the ECU was reset.

Right now all you've told us is a cute story.

 

I dont get it. Whats the question on this post? You know that if you replace your mani everything will be all set.
