hi guys i have a 92 honda eg with a d16z6 motor.i recently put my motor back in my car due to a motor mount issue.as of right now my motor wont stay on by its self.the starter kicks in and there is sparks flowing through the spark plu wires but for some odd reason it wont stay on alive by itself.all the sensors and hoses are back in its rightful plugs but i did has to rewire 2 sensors due to being old and they just fell off.so i jst clip some random sensors within the d's series motor and rewire them.anyone know what the problem may be why my engine isnt staying up and alive by itself?lmk asap guys thanks alot!

 

Sounds like those wires you just added on were connected to something important. Do you know were those two old wires were going to?

 

yes.one was by the v-tev solonoid and the other was by the knock sensor in between the top n bottom block on passenger side.also there is no check engine light on n i alrdy tried putting the pin in the code reader thing n no codes came out

 

The D16Z6 engine does not have a knock sensor.

Sounds like your CEL doesn't work. Has the CEL bulb been removed or is it blown?

 

well its one of the plugs under the distributor.as for the cel bulb no it has but it still lights up when i turn on the car.but i did find out that i may have a short in my car.so basically when the key is in the ignition and u click it over once,i believe the power kicks in,next for the second click the fuel injectors will due to a lil buzzing noise,then after the second click is pretty much starting the engine.so due to my engine it will not start and when i let the key automatically swing back still in the second click the power shud still be on but sometimes itll start from click one again.the power in the car will turn off n then back on n fuel injector buzzing noise kicks in again.so i did tried to clean the ground wires n dust off corrosion and dust.so far im thinkin it may be the alternator.what do u guys think may be the problem here?
