What firey hell did my motor come out of??? build thread topics
So, with care and time, I have carefully disassembled this the motor completely to reveal this. It is a b18c1.

So what can you experienced engine builders tell me about this motor? What sad life did it have? What should I look into, how can it be repaired, and on a budget.
A little background: When it was running compression test showed 210 across 2-4 and 130 on 1. I didn't bother to pay a shop to do a leakdown test. Cylinder 1 head also has that fried looking valve. lots of carbon buildup (black gunk) on valves and top of pistons. the piston pics, 1st one is cylinder 3, 2nd is cylinder 1. Note the scoring/missing gray stuff on the side of the piston, and how cyl 1 looks rather fresh compared to the latter. also not labeled on top, but on the sides it says hf2 and the other side p73A. Crank looked pretty good I suppose when I gave it good look, no serious scoring or damage anywhere. pretty minty. Cylinder walls still showed a good hone besides that fried top portion. bearing has wear on sides, is this normal, not normal, what should i look at?

This car was leaking and burning lots of oil. valve cover was leaking (cam cap was stripped). oil pan gasket was ripped. i took it to someone who i thought worked on hondas (which i question his validity now, and my reason) and he said there was definitely some sort of bottom end damage, which i now dont see. this car had apparently been boosted, brought back to stock, and then sold to me.
my goals for the car are a stock rebuild to get me from point a to point b

hopefully by dood's post everything doesn't seem too out of the ordinary, and I did all this for no reason but to do it.
