Default casing not closing (pics)

so i have a gsr casing that wont close. i took out the gears and it would close with out em. here are some pics...

Do you have it sitting flat on a table by chance and its just pushing the input shaft upwards? I always use a couple 2x4's underneath it to hold keep pressure off the shaft. If the input shaft is sitting on the table then its holding up the entire assembly.

No the mainshaft is sittin freely. I made a whole so the main shaft could go in it.
Weird thing is I installed a set of type r gears and the freaking trans sits freely!! Wtf??

I know it has something to do with the counter shaft because I only put the mainshaft in there with out the counter and it sits flush??

Yes I have tried 2 shims and 1 and even with none.

There are no shims for the countershaft. Do you have the snap ring fully open before trying to seat the case? It isn't open at all in the first pic. Cases like to hang up on the shift piece shaft (shaft that goes through the SCHA).

Check your countershaft - it looks like you are installing LS gear stacks with an ITR ring gear.
