Default Where to buy longer top hat studs?

I am going to be running some spacers on top of the struts on my Forester and am going to need longer studs for the top hats but am having trouble finding any. I would really like to get the same style press fit studs although I know I can just replace them with bolts if all else fails. Anyone know where I can get some? I checked McMaster Carr but I didn't see any metric studs. I believe they are M8x1,25.

Thanks

I found that they are called self-clinching studs which helped a little but still no luck finding the size I need. I guess bolts will do. lol

Edit: I think what I am looking for is actually called a serrated stud but still no luck with M8 or M10 studs. However I am learning a lot by spending all day on Google rather than doing anything productive.

mcmaster carr has gobs of metric studs, with different options for thread length on each side.

Not looking for studs threaded on both sides.

I used to work for a local rally shop. We had quite a few customers coming in wanting to lift their Subarus and we ran into the same problem you're having. After searching with no luck, we had to turn to a local machinist to have them custom made.

Thanks for the info.

Didn't see anything close in their catalogue other than wheel studs which are a bit different and not long enough.

Guess there is a good reason everyone I have seen running spacers are using standard bolts.

^I'm sure they do it on the cheap too. lol

I found some Polaris UTV extended wheel studs that looked promising but turned out to be 3/8" instead of metric.

any reason not to run a SAE threaded stuf and matching nut if the serrations fit snugly into the top hat?

Yea metric vs. Sae doesnt matter if it works

Call ARP, I know what dealer pricing is on most custom stuff but not serrated studs

Not at all. I'm going to go buy the Polaris dealer and see if they have any I can look at. All the ones I have found online I have to buy in a set of 16. Would be a waste if they didn't work.

Will do. I might know someone around here that does fab work that might be able to get me some pricing as well.

Will do. Just checked to make sure of the size and fronts are M8 and rears are M10.

They are really busy, it took them a few days to reply to me.
Normally they need complete measurements and stuff

Such as diameter, thread pitch, stud length, thread length, stud head diameter, height, the depth of the part that fits the top hat etc

Last time I dealt with them I just called. I needed a z6 headstud, nut, and washer. It wasn't custom, but they handled it super quick and easy
