92 Accord EX Rough Idle after maintenance
ok, so my starter died and the car has been drinking a lot of gas lately so i decided it was time for a tune up.
I put a new air filter, starter, fuel filter, O2 sensor, distributor and cables, and spark plugs.
We pulled the cables from the old distributor without memorizing where they go, so i did a few searches online and came up with the connection i currently have on the car: cable 1 on the bottom left, 2 on the bottom right, 3 on the top left and 4 on the top right.
The car starts up but it idles like crap. I'm thinking the firing order is not right.
I understand when i am looking at the engine, the pistons are aligned 4-3-2-1 and that the firing order on the distributor is 1-3-4-2.
Any input you can provide appreciated.

i managed to get it going. It was a combination of the wiring and the distributor.
I started pulling the boots to make sure i was getting spark on each cylinder and I was barely getting anything on piston 2.
I had bought a rebuilt dizzy at autozone w/ lifetime warranty and used my old cap and rotor to save a couple of dollars. I must have sanded the cap and rotor too much to the point where it barely made contact on the pin for piston 2.
I just went ahead and returned the dizzy and got me a brand new one with the whole assembly (lifetime warranty too). Then I started going clockwise with the firing order 1-3-4-2 until the car cranked.
The car has never ran this good. Thanks everyone for your input.
Now for the valve adjustment, valve cover gasket, timing belt, water pump, crank and cam seals. This is never ending.
