ive flushed and refilled my radiator and adjusted and readjusted my distributer and it still does it.

someone said it could be my muffler bearings? or my blinker fluid??

what else could make this happen? its a b16a in a eg hatch, it runs fine but when its idling it pops and makes like a gurgling noise, just annoying.

any advice would be much appreciated.

 

Oh yeah, got to be the muffler bearings, although the blinker fluid would be a close second! Don't forget about the piston grease as well.

To be honest it sounds like it could be an ignition, timing or fuel issue.

Check your timing....what do your spark plugs look like? Is your check engine light on?

 

more details on your mods/setup? be specific on the ecu/tuning/injectors.

 

My car overruns on lift throttle between shifts and during engine braking. Personally, I love it.

 

haha i was joking but i have a stock b16a sir 2 brand new ngk platinum spark plugs and wires, my timing seems to be fine this is my daily driver and it runs good, minus this little annoying issue when im stopped at a light, I just bought the car a while back and really didnt put much thought into it before buying it i bought it as a project and didnt care about the little issues it had i thought i knocked the problems out i have a oil leak from my vtec solenoid gasket, my speedo doesnt work and i have a stock p28 ecu, so im assuming my problem is from the ecu..

 

and no check engine light. i bought the new speedo its being shipped and tomorrow im going to honda to get the gasket, what ecu is stock for the b16a? im not really looking for speed right now i just want it to be in good running condition.

 

might want to check to see if there is a bulb in the CEL spot on the cluster

 

there is and its still good, i replaced it with a known working bulb.

 

Improper tuning, someone just probably threw and ebay chip in there...

 

Stop messing with this guy. It's definitely the muffler bearings because there's no such thing as blinker fluid. Geez!
