basically what the tittle says. i have a d16y8 header laying around and i was curious if it would fit on my brothers 01 civic with a d17a2? his is rusted pretty bad and will need replaced soon if not already. also how about aftermarket header for a d15b7. im pretty sure both the y8 and b7 fit the same stuff but not 100% sure. dont want to take off the old one to have to put it back on.
Rusted badly? They're cast metal... which looks rusty all the time, unless you coat the metal. I've never seen a cast D-series exhaust manifold rust enough to where it needed replacement. This includes a factory D15 exhaust manifold that is still sitting in a friend's back yard, and has been for quite a few years after getting removed from a high mileage car.

yes its like crumbling around where the bolts go. like i can pull off some pretty good size chunks. and i want to get it off before it and the bolts are sooo rusted that it will be very hard to come off
