Default auto trans rebuild

Quick question. I was wondering if anyone had a suggestion on how best to hold the shafts while tightening up the locknuts on top to spec? The manual says to use a tool where the torque converter goes to hold the shaft(which I don't have). Was wondering how other people had solved this problem without bending anything.

Thanks a million.

I didn't do a civic trans specifically, it was for a TL. But I just tightened them with an impact gun and put the nuts to where they had been staked before. Did the same thing for numerous D and B-series manual transmissions as well with no issues.
