1989 hatch dx timing question and other question
Yesterday I swapped a d15b1 into my 89 hatch. Now im timing the engine and I need to know if im doing this right.
I put the cam on tdc and then crankshaft on tdc put the timing belt and tension it. When I spin the crank shaft pulley a couple times I put the ( up ) on the up position and I look at the crank shaft and its not on tdc. Does this mean the timing is off? Do I need to tension it more or is it slipping. Its a brand new timing belt and water pump.
Also other questions that are unrelated
Where is the acg fuse located?
What could be the reason my check engine light stays on when I turn the key? The ecu is fine doesnt have the red light. I dont think its the main relay because im getting spark. So what else?

Make sure that the belt has proper tension where the idler goes. If you have too loose of a tension you will either skip a teeth or come up one short on the belt. Are you looking at the crank itself or the crank pulley for TDC?
Update!!!! It's lucky by the way this is my friends account, I swapped the main relay with my friends crx same cel stayes on when the key in is and we swapped the dizzy, also cylinder 3,4 don't get spark but 1,2 does

You should start a different thread. I have no idea what Cel code your looking at since you didn't state it and I have no idea what your doing now.
