Default 91 ED daily

Some of you may have seen this when I posted in the Cosmetic thread but I wanted to put it in here so as I add parts etc. I can share my experiences with fellow owners.
The guy I picked this up from only builds ED/EF civics and then sells them. His dad is 70 and does all the body work. Body and interior wise this thing is like new.
I bought it to hold me over until I get back from a year long Afghanistan vacation I have coming up. Until then I will make some additions to make it a nearly perfect daily.

Pic about a week after I picked it up in AZ and drove it home to NM.

Engine:
Original DPFI D15 with 152K on the clock
HKS intake
MagnaFlow with custom bent tips (mini bosozoku? lol)
New OEM clutch
New A/C components
New WP/TB
All scheduled maint done by Honda

Sus/Wheels:
Custom F2 coils (body was cut and re-threaded to ride well super low)
- Ride is phenomenal. Car is actually an inch or so higher than when I picked it up just so I could actually drive it over small bumps etc.
F2 rear LCAs
Rear camber kit (changed to bolt and washer kit with OEM arms)
Neuspeed front strut bar (removed)
Konig Spooled - Piano Black 15x8 +20 on 195/50/15 Falken 512's (new)
Greddy open ended lug nuts (new)
Extended lugs in rear
5mm/10mm spacers (removed due to wider tires)

Exterior:
Hot Rod Flatz Hot Rod Red - single stage and ultra tough
Everything was painted sans bay
All new seals and rubber
All trim was refurbished
Headlights and tails were polished back to new condition
Mid tail garnish was heated and formed back to flat
Nearly all hardware is new
Shaved antenna and keyholes
OEM mud guards (removed due to scrapeage everywhere I drive)
HID kit
DA front lip

Interior:
All plastics are absolutely mint
Re-upholstered seats front and back with new foam
Door cards re-done to match seats
JDM console
Buddy Club shift **** (dis-continued version)
Mugen pedals
Momo Monte Carlo
Aftermarket BT head unit
All new speakers
10" sub box with amp and cap

Things either completed or in the works:

Please PM me if I have not done a write-up about something and you want to know how I did it etc.

Cluster swap - https://honda-tech.com/forums/honda-crx-ef-civic-1988-1991-3/1991-dx-cluster-swap-3099868/

Sea Foamed the motor

Eneos 5W-30 sythetic oil change

Valve lash adjustment

New plugs and wires

New front fender liners installed (bought from Majestic)

Replaced cheap chinese made adjustable rear upper control arms - Bought some OEM style off Ebay for $40 with a washer camber kit and it works like a fricken champ.

DPFI to MPFI in the works:
-P06 ECU
-92-95 non-vtec dizzy
-92-95 non-vtec IM and TB
-Si throttle cable
-Monotech MPFI harness with OBD1 conversion
-IACV hoses?

Yearwood windsheild scratch remover kit (not done yet)

I'll add more details as I get them as well as photos.

Wow that looks fantastic. Where/how did they get all new rubber seals/trim?

That must have cost you a pretty penny eh?

Lets see some more pics!

*edit* also, what do you mean the body was cut and re-threaded?

Since he only does ED/EFs he had some sources to get some of the harder to come by replacement/discontinued parts.

The actual coil body containing the oil and valves was cut shorter, re-threaded and custom damp spec'd to ride super low. I guess it's been done before, I had never hear of it. This rides super smooth though and will nearly sit on frame if I lowered it all the way.

Are you talking about the wheels in the pic? Those are the Work Meister CR-01s I had on the car. Those are sold and am now on the Konig Spooleds. I'll get some new pics up soon. Here is a pic of the wheels:

Quick update on pricelist of items purchased so far for your reference:

92-95 Intake mani minus throttle body - $75 shipped from ebay
P06 ECU - $56 shipped from ebay
Whiteline camber correction bolt kit - $25 shipped from ebay
OEM style rear upper control arms - $47 shipped from ebay
Used windsheild wiper arms - $35 shipped from ebay
Monotech DPFI to MPFI with OBD1 conversion harness - $280 shipped, This may be a lot to some of you but I didn't want to dick with any wiring which ends up being a problem in most of the MPFI conversions I've read about.

I'll try and get some updated pics up this weekend after I wash the car...it's cold out.

The housing was actually cut to make the overall length of the entire coil shorter. It was then re-threaded and filled. Pretty sure these are an oil type damper so you need a threader and know what viscosity of oil to run if you plan on this type of modification. I would guess you would run a bit heaver oil if your making the housing shorter to slow the damper rate.

Great looking Sedan, well put together and NOT obnoxiously overdone.

These are when I first got it back to NM from AZ. I have since sold the Works and put the wheels in above post on. New pics as soon as it's warm enough to wash and shoot.

After two decades the thing looks better than it did rolling off the assembly line. Anyone know where to get replacement weatherstripping and patch panels for the EF chassis?
